Easy Apple Cupcakes & Picnic Plaid Cake
We know Summer is coming to a close when people begin putting gourds just about anywhere one will fit outside their home and the kids head back to class. Yes, this is the perfect time to make Apple Cupcakes. Why? They're fun, easy and can bribe a teacher waaay better than those lame real apples they normally get. Okay, a bribe probably isn't necessary, but still, how 'bout a little gratitude for the teachers? Now let's get going on those cupcakes & THEN we'll knock out that cake!..

We've got ALL the recipes for you right here! The recipe for the mini donuts we cut in half and used to make the crowned apple top shape? Easy, go to the store and pick your favorite brand!

Let's make the cake... Good News! This cake got A LOT easier since we filmed this. We now have printed icing sheets so you don't have to mesh stencil the plaid design. But if you're producing the plaid napkins in quantity it may be cheaper to stencil them. Anyway, here we go...
The Frostinator and Lil' Rolly as always are HUGE time savers. We finish it off with some sprinkles and dragees applied with an edible pearl applicator, which is another great time saver. It also helps to avoid literally pulling all your hair out like you do when you use tweezers. Pro tip!
