Sequins!  Yessss!

The Evil Cake Genius turns into a slobbering idiot around shiny things.  That's a big departure from her normal non-slobbering idiot persona, but the thought of eating shiny sparkly sweets is just too much for her.

And the options for making bejeweled tiers has grown over the past years, from Isomalt Jewels to Edible Sequin covered cake tiers, there are no shortages of ways to eat your bling right about now.

Combine that with the ongoing Art Deco trend in design, and it goes something like this "Squeeeeee!"

Leafy Branches

The ECG just loves her an Edible Sequin Tier.  Just check out our Abstract Rose Cake featuring that crazy tier covered in our Edible Gold Sequins. But what she doesn't love as much is the aftermath of an edible sequin-covered tier.  Those little buggers stick to your hands better than they stick to the cake, and by the time the cake tier is covered, so is your floor.  And, she's not quite sure how, but the ECG's two canine minions always manage to find sequins stuck between the treads of her sneakers when she gets home on those days.

That's why this girlie is pretty stoked about the latest line of texture molds from Marvelous Molds! As you would expect, they're incredibly detailed and super easy to use. Just check out this video proof:

And they come in Three Sparkle-rific Styles to glam up any cake.

Leafy Branches

Get a load of this Symmetrical Sequin Mold. It makes a crazy-realistic large sequin pattern laid out in a perfect scallop pattern.  Pretty sure the ECG would rather light her hair on fire than try to create this pattern with individual sequins.

Mold Sequin

Yeah, and how insanely bad does the ECG want to see this one used on cookies made with our Mermaid Tail Cookie Cutter?  You have no idea.  Especially, since you can use these molds with Starburst candies microwaved for a few seconds, yep, they knead up just like fondant, but they're Candy people!  CANDY!

That's it!  She's going to investigate Mermaid Tail colored Starburst flavors right now.
