The paint is ready to use directly from the bottle, there is no need to thin it out or mix it with any other ingredients, however, the red paint is highly pigmented, and may be thicker than you would like...simply add a bit of high proof alcohol, lemon extract, or activator to thin it down. Pigment based paints are opaque paints, so they will paint over a darker color without issue, but they must be stirred well to reincorporate any settled solids.  Once applied, paint dries quickly and the pigment is sealed within the surface – no dust or smudges!
