Let's Play With Our Food.
The ECG is not a football fan (despite having been raised in Packerland) so she doesn't "get" her family's traditional Thanksgiving routine. Getting together with the fam and gorging yourself until you can barely move is definitely in her wheel-house, but she kinda' wishes there would be a little more chatting and a little less staring at a football game. That's why she started doing little interactive favors years ago, and as it turns out...she's not the only one doesn't care all that much about football when there's something else to do (besides dishes)! Most of these projects can be made well in advance of Turkey Day, and are transportable if you're not hosting. Check out her favorites below:
1) Coloring Book Cookies (or Chocolate Covered Oreos)
We had a blast with these at our Halloween Party, so the ECG has created Thanksgiving Coloring Icing Sheets as well. Just grab a set of our IncrEDIBLE Markers for the table to share, and get coloring! Check out the how-to Video HERE she'll add the Thanksgiving sheets (and Christmas ones, too!) into the product feed on the page.
2) Treat-Filled Chocolate Turkeys
Sure, they're adorable...but they're also super fun to smash at the end of dinner!

3) Cocoa Bombs
Once these pretty little place-setting favours have served their visual purpose, pop them into mugs and pour hot milk over there for a cozy ending to your night. Watch Video HERE
4) Fill-In Thankful Cookies
These cookies are a great alternative for the grown-ups at your Thanksgiving Table! Watch how to make them HERE
5) Treats for the Canine Thanksgiving Guests
Okay, okay, these might not be something you want to make during Thanksgiving, but they sure are something you'll want to bring to Thanksgiving! And this recipe calls for Banana OR Canned Pumpkin, so the fur babies get their own little Pumpkiny treats while the humans have pie!
