Nordic Knit Deer Cookies

Using a combo of mesh & acrylic stenciling creates gives these cookies a cool depth and texture. AND it's so easy that you'll be sipping hot toddies while the fam is avoiding the kitchen! We did Christmas themed cookies here, but this technique works like a charm with hundreds of cookie stencils on the site!

You can stencil these patterns onto fondant for maximum ease, but if you want to make your cookies extra delicious, stencil on a mixture of equal parts fondant and modeling chocolate for a more melt-in-your-mouth texture, the Chocolate Paste recipe is HERE

Combination Mesh & Acrylic Stenciling

Here we used Jewel Dust over the 2nd layer of stenciling, but since we shot this video, we've introduced our new line of Glitzy as Hell Edible Glitter which is a much better value! It comes in 25g jumbo jars ready to make TONS of cookies...oh so glitzy!

Don't fancy being covered in glitter?  Stencil the deer (or even the background patterns) with our Metallic Royal Icing for a beautiful shine.  With our Pearl Metallic Royal you can make your own color metallic royal color with our Pearl Mix or use our customer favorites: Gold, Silver, Rose Gold or Copper. These colors are already opaque, so there's no need to add whitener to them for the Mesh Stenciling.  If you opt for stenciling in matte Royal like we did in the video, be sure to use our Mesh Stencil Royal Icing Mix so that your stenciling comes out vibrant and solid.  Want more info on Mesh Stenciling?
